1. Information We Collect
When you use BibBuy, we may collect:
- Account information — your name and email address when you sign up.
- Listing information — race details, city, price, and notes you submit when listing a bib.
- Messages — conversations between buyers and sellers conducted through our platform.
- Order information — what you bought or sold, the amount, the buyer's name and email (shared with the seller so they can transfer the bib), transfer notes and any problem reports.
- Payment and payout information — handled entirely by Stripe. BibBuy never sees or stores your card number. Sellers give their identity and bank details directly to Stripe to receive payouts.
- Usage data — standard server logs including IP address, browser type, and pages visited.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Operate and improve the BibBuy marketplace.
- Enable communication between buyers and sellers.
- Process payments and prevent fraud.
- Send transactional emails about your account and orders (purchase confirmations, transfer reminders, payouts, refunds, password resets).
- Comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We share it only with the service providers that run BibBuy: Stripe (payments and seller payouts), Supabase (accounts and data storage), Netlify (website hosting) and Resend (order emails).
3. Data Retention
We retain your account and listing data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.
4. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your data.
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

5. Cookies
BibBuy uses essential session cookies for authentication. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
6. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Authentication is managed by Supabase with industry-standard security practices.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy on this page with an updated date.
